Welcome.
My name is Mike…
I currently teach 8th grade Earth Science in a public school just north of Manhattan. I have been integrating technology in my classroom since I began teaching almost 10 years ago. I believe it is the educators job to fully prepare young people for the real world that awaits them after school. This in mind, how can we, as educators, afford to not infuse technology into our curricula? Over the years, I have experimented in my own classroom with every kind of technology you could imagine, from Google apps to iPods, and Moodle to Edmodo. I was recently honored as a member of the 2011 cohort of Apple Distinguished Educators. This was particularly exciting for me as I have recently embarked on a 1:1 iPad pilot program with my students.

Several years ago, I began sharing my experiences and ideas with fellow teachers, trying to inspire them to experiment with something new in their classrooms. I teach a variety of professional development courses on many educational technology related topics. To help share some of what I have learned and experienced, I decided to put together this site as a warehouse of ideas and resources that I have found helpful, interesting, and exciting. Feel free to explore and utilize anything you may come across.
